NAILS NAILS NAILS….WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS?


DO I GET A REGULAR MANICURE WITH POLISH? SHELLAC? GEL NAILS?

 

We get asked this daily so I thought it was time to give you some valuable information before you book your nail appointment!

Lets start with our Bio Sculpture Gel Nail PROS:

-more durable surface (especially if you are hard on your nails)

-last longer with out chipping or breaking (up to 3/4 weeks)

-gel color stays on for the duration

-dries instantly

-soak/hand file off method

-5 star health rating for your natural nails

-should wear rubber gloves when doing dishes/cleaning

CONS:

-need a Gel nail fill every 2-4 weeks depending on nail growth

-can be expensive

 

Shellac Polish PROS:

-tougher surface than regular nail polish but not as strong as Gel

-shellac polish will last up to 2 weeks, much longer on toe nails

-cheaper than Gel

-dries instantly: put on your shoes immediately there after

-lots of fun colors to choose from

-soak/hand file off method

CONS:

-color may fade , depending on product

-should wear rubber gloves when doing dishes/cleaning

-need a shellac nail fill every 10-21 days

-some Salons/Spas use an acetone base polish remover/soak off method which is very damaging to your nail bed especially if you have continuous Shellac applications so be sure to ask!

 

Regular OPI Nail Polish PROS:

-OPI polish will last anywhere from 3 days-4 weeks, depending if it is applied to your fingers or toes

-lots of colors to choose from

-easy to remove, you can change the color yourself!

-no LED/UV light is used to cure the polish

CONS:

-takes up to 5 hours to fully cure

– must be extra careful not to ruin your polish

-can chip off very easily

-MUST wear rubber gloves when doing dishes/cleaning
